This space-saving desktop switch transmits data over a Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) network. Sixteen auto-negotiating 10/100/1000 Mbps ports send data via Cat5e/6/6a/8 cable only to the computers, routers, hubs and other devices designated to receive it, which improves the efficiency and potential throughput of the network. LEDs indicate when the switch is powered on and which Ethernet ports are connected and showing activity.

The NGS16C2-1 is browser-based and works independently from the connected computer's operating system. Because switch compatibility is based on common hardware standards, rather than system software dependencies, the NGS16C2-1 accommodates most platforms. Versatile Installation Options

The heavy-duty metal housing can be positioned on a level surface using the included rubber feet to minimize external vibration or mounted into 1U of an EIA-standard 19-inch rack using the included brackets and screws. The detachable C14 to C13 power cord connects to a protected UPS, generator or mains input AC source.
